A canvas print is a photograph or piece of artwork printed directly onto artist-grade canvas fabric, then stretched over a wooden frame to create ready-to-hang wall art. The woven texture and matte finish give images a soft, painterly, gallery-style look that flat paper prints can't replicate.
At Pictures Plus, every canvas print is made right here in Hawaii — printed, stretched, and hand-finished at our Kapolei facility on O'ahu. We use 100% cotton canvas and archival pigment inks for rich, true-to-life color, then stretch each piece over kiln-dried pine frames for a taut, warp-resistant finish built to last for generations.
Also known as photo canvas prints or canvas photo prints, canvas prints are a favorite for home décor, gifts, and gallery walls. Available in custom sizes from 5″ × 5″ up to 108″ × 50″, every Pictures Plus canvas is made with aloha and offered with fast local turnaround, in-store pickup, and delivery across the islands.

Uses your original image and mirrors it on the side to retain the whole image and create a reflected side presentation.

Printing on canvas is one of the oldest forms of displaying art — and for good reason. Canvas gives your photos a warmth and depth that flat prints simply can't match. We use 100% cotton canvas, archival inks, and hand-finished stretcher frames so your memories don't just hang on your wall — they become part of it.
A gallery wrap is when the printed canvas is stretched around the sides of a wooden frame and secured on the back, so the image continues over the edges with no staples or hardware visible from the front. It creates a clean, frameless, ready-to-hang look. At Pictures Plus you can choose a 3/4" gallery wrap for a slim profile, or a deeper 1.5" or 3" wrap for a more substantial, dimensional presence on the wall.
Both are ways to fill the wrapped sides of a canvas. A mirror edge reflects your image outward at the borders, so the full original photo stays on the front face while the sides show a mirrored continuation — nothing is cropped. An overflow edge stretches part of your actual image around the sides for a seamless, continuous wrap. Mirror edge is best when you don't want to lose any of the photo; overflow edge gives the most natural, uninterrupted look.
Yes. We offer rolled canvas, which is printed and shipped rolled rather than stretched on a frame. It's a great option if you want to frame or mount the canvas yourself, ship it more affordably, or handle stretching locally. Every other canvas option comes gallery-wrapped and ready to hang.
Pictures Plus offers canvas prints in custom sizes from 5″ × 5″ up to 108″ × 50″. You can order a standard size or enter fully custom dimensions when you build your print online, making canvas a great choice for everything from small gallery-wall pieces to large statement prints.
No. Gallery-wrapped canvas prints are designed to hang on their own, with a clean wrapped edge and hanging hardware included, so no frame is required. If you prefer a framed look, we also offer a classic float-style frame finish for a more traditional, gallery presentation.
Canvas has a soft, woven fabric surface with a subtle matte finish, giving your photos a warm, painterly, artistic quality rather than the glossy look of photo paper. The natural texture also helps diffuse glare and is very forgiving of imperfections in a photo, which makes it especially good for large prints and treasured older images.
Canvas prints are low-maintenance. Dust them gently with a dry, soft cloth or a light feather duster. Avoid liquids, cleaning sprays, and abrasive materials, and hang them out of direct, prolonged sunlight to best preserve the color. Our UV-protective coating helps guard against light, humidity, and everyday wear.
